Not A Naked Mile.</title><content type='html'>I ran and walked and jogged a full mile last night in 17 minutes and 10 seconds. I am hoping to get that down to around 10 minutes, some day. But for now, I'll be happy when I can keep that average and do a full 5K in 53 minutes or so.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Goals, goals and more goals but having a hard time keeping up with them and especially blogging about them. I am so loving EA Sports Active - I actually like to work out and am trying to make time for it more often.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Low points: I had to do a squat hold today, where you squat and then hold it for 30 seconds. Oh boy, did that suck. My leg muscles need work!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kicked ass on: Bicep curls, running&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kicked my ass: Squat hold, inline skating&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I feel: super great! Really. (For Now...)</title><content type='html'>So, we started this Wellness program here at work, and we meet with a trainer once a month, who is tracking our weight, our fat content, how much we're exercising, what we're eating, etc.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;She is freaking obnoxious.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, we started it at the beginning of the year, and since then I've been watching my calorie intake and also trying to take our doggie on a really good jog once a week. But, I wanted to get back on track with exercising. The problem is, I have ADHD and get bored really easily! My solution? I bought a Wii. To go along with the Wii, I got EA Sports Active Personal Trainer. Last night was my first night with the program, and can I just tell you that it KICKED. MY. ASS. I couldn't walk when I was done! I definitely felt the burn. Well, it was more like an active volcano got unleashed in my thighs, but still. A burn.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To anyone wanting to use the Wii to get in shape, so far I whole-heartedly recommend the EA Sports Active Personal Trainer thingy. I will take my measurements this weekend so I can track where I'm at, and I plan to get at least two workouts in a week, plus the jog with the dog (yah, I know, I could totally be a rapper).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'll try to track my progress as best as I can so you can all keep up with me. I worked out on Tuesday, but was too exhausted Thursday and had too much going on yesterday. I've got to get myself physically trained on this new schedule of mine and until that happens, I will only be working out when I can fit it in. I promise that I will be back to working out regularly as soon as I can, but for now, I just can't make it work with everything else that is going on! Too much change at one time. 'Sweating buckets' is a great name for the last set of 10 cards.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am getting a job soon because we are going to be moving into a new house and until we sell the one we're in now, we need a little more money to make it work. I'm worried that when I am actually working outside of the house, I'm going to lose my motivation to work out. So, I just need to keep myself going. I think I'm going to try to figure out some sort of incentive for myself to work out. Not yet anyway.]&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Jiggle factor: 6&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;High points: I actually felt like I could keep going at the end of the 30 cards. I'm amazed! I think it's time to up the time spent per card. :D&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Low points: I can't think of any. How sick is that?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kicked ass on: Push-Ups, Crunches, Reverse Curls, Bicycle Crunch&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kicked my ass: Push-Up/Side Plank, Burpees, Dive Bombs&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I feel: oh so great. Seriously. Up until today, at the end of the 30 cards I wanted to die. Today, I wanted to keep going. It kind of sickens me how quickly I've taken to this working out stuff! Now, if I could just get myself to like water... I did 35 crunches in 30 seconds. I feel pretty good about that. Oh, and those Burpees things? I have a feeling they will forever be a bane of my existence. No matter how hard I try, they still kick me all over town. But it's just one card of suck in a ton of others that I rock on. So it all evens out.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;P.S. Dear fat kid inside me,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I know I'm working out and I know I'm trying to get fit, but please don't hurt me! I did ALL 30 CARDS TODAY! I'm pretty happy about it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Current weight: 139 pounds&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Jiggle factor: 6 [woo!]&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;High points: I did all 30 cards!! I was pretty exhausted 28 but refused to stop with only 2 left, so I pushed myself to do all 30. YAY! Today I focused on keeping the target muscles clenched during each workout card, and I definitely felt the burn. But, oh boy, is it a good burn!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Low points: None that I can think of. I'm on top of the world! :D&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kicked ass on: Triceps Dips, Crunches, Triceps Push-Ups, Lateral Skate, Lunge Squat&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kicked my ass: Push-Up/Side Plank, Burpees, Dive Bombs, Superman 3, Bicycle Crunches&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I feel: Seriously amazing. Today is the first time I've actually felt energized after working out, and it's awesome. I'm losing weight, I can see the difference in my thighs and the jiggle... greatness. I definitely have a sinus infection - the entire left side of my face feels like someone took sand paper to it - but I still feel awesome.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I need to work on keeping the target muscles clenched, and I need to drink more water! Especially on the days that I don't workout. I hate the taste of water so it's hard for me to drink it. You are more than welcome to follow along! I welcome any and all workout buddies. It's always better with a friend.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I've got three goals.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;Lose JIGGLE! Also known as fat. [goal=jiggle factor of 3]&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Get back to my pre-marriage weight [10 pounds to lose]&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Get into shape [be able to keep up with my never-ending-energy 8-year-old]&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pretty simple, right? You would think so.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In my own simple terms, I will be tracking:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Weight lost&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Jiggle factor [1 to 10; 1 being Fergie and 10 being Jell-o]&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Strong/weak points&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Measurements&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Once all of my goals are hit, my goal is to keep going. That's it.
